TS2016 Simtech Vision CRH380A Physics & Sound Mod Pack

This is the Simtech Vision CRH380A Physics & Sound Modification pack version 1.0

In order to utilize this freeware physics upgrade, you must have purchased the "CRH380A High Speed Train" pack available at Just Trains: http://www.justtrains.net/product/crh...

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to further modify the physics & sound enhancements found in this pack for personal use if you so choose.

The purpose of this pack is to adjust the physics performance of the CRH380A, CRH380AL, and CRH380AJ (CIT). This pack also replaces the stock horn with horns actually recorded off of CRH380A EMUs.

List of general changes; specific changes for each EMU located below:

1. Modified tractive effort and braking effort curves.

2. Removed coupler slack.

3. Added HUD ammeter

4. Set HUD ammeter values so that 375 amp = 37.5 kN

5. Added two horns to choose from. Refer to the user's manual below for instructions on how to swap horns.

6. Lowered drag coefficient value from 4 to 1.4 (more realistic; allows higher tops speed to be attained with accurate power values).

1. CRH380A/AL:

   1. Starting tractive effort of 32.1875 kN

   2. Continuous tractive effort of 27.8125 kN @ 168 km/h

   3. Dynamic Brake effort of 37.5 kN @ 128.72 km/h; held down to 30 km/h. Fade to 0 kN from 30 km/h to 16.1 km/h.

   4. Wheel horsepower of 1,460 kW @ 168 km/h

   5. Balancing speed on level track: 425 km/h

   6. Max traction amps = 321.875

   7. Max brake amps = 375

2. CRH380AJ (CIT):

   1. Starting tractive effort of 37.5 kN

   2. Continuous tractive effort of 37.5 kN @ 153.6 km/h

   3. Dynamic Brake effort of 37.5 kN @ 153.6 km/h; held down to 30 km/h. Fade to 0 kN from 30 km/h to 16.1 km/h.

   4. Wheel horsepower of 1,600 kW @ 153.6 km/h

   5. Balancing speed on level track: 425 km/h

   6. Max traction amps = 375

   7. Max brake amps = 375

IMPORTANT; Install Instructions

1. Locate CRH380APack (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\SimtechVision\CRH380APack)

2. Open Simtech_Vision_CRH380A_Physics_&_Sound_Mod_Pack.rar

3. Make sure the CRH380APack folder is not set to "read only", otherwise, files may not overwrite properly.

4. Drag the file folders from the .rar in step 2 into the directory you opened in step 1.

5. The installation should be complete. Run TS2015 to check.

6. If installation is botched or does not work, simply reinstall the DLC using the .exe file downloaded from Just Trains.

OWNER'S MANUAL: Once installation is complete, the default horn that is being used is the high horn. In order to change the horn that is used, follow the instructions below:

1. Open folders until directory reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\SimtechVision\CRH380APack\Audio\RailVehicles\Electric\CRH380A"

2. You will see two folders; "High Horn" and "Low Horn".

3. Open the respective folder that contains the horn .wav files you want to use and copy the files (CTRL + C).

4. Proceed back to the directory in step 1.

5. Paste the selected file (CTRL + V); overwrite when prompted.

6. Horn swap should be complete. Run TS2015 to confirm.
